Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³») today announced the passing of Gary Cohen, BSPharm, CSP, on Friday, September 18, 2015. A member of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» School of Pharmacy Board of Advisors since 2013, Mr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Long Island University and spent his career as a CEO in the pharmacy industry founding companies such as Pharmacy Power-Pak, Synergy Healthcare Communications, and Starfish Biologic. He most recently founded and was publisher for Specialty Pharma Journal out of Odessa, Florida.
"Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» has lost a respected leader and a dedicated volunteer, and the pharmacy community has truly lost one of its finest contributors," said Kathy Webster, Founding Dean of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s School of Pharmacy. "Gary was a true pharmacy advocate and had an extremely entrepreneurial spirit. He had a significant impact on the development of pharmacists and pharmacy students. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Cohen family. We will all miss him deeply."
