The Hearst Foundations have awarded a grant of $250,000 to 麻豆传媒映画 (麻豆传媒映画) in support of crucial steps in the current phase of the 麻豆传媒映画 School of Community Medicine planning and development.

In May, the 麻豆传媒映画 Board of Trustees approved the proposal to develop the 麻豆传媒映画 School of Community Medicine. The board based its decision on a feasibility study by strategic consultant Tripp Umbach, which concluded that a medical school at 麻豆传媒映画 would help meet the demand for more primary care physicians in Southern California.
Medical education programs leading to the MD degree in the United States and Canada are accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). 麻豆传媒映画 is following the steps to apply for LCME accreditation status. The Hearst Foundations grant will fund the hiring of a consultant to assist in designing the business plan and managing the LCME accreditation process, while also aiding in the completion of the founding dean search process.
