VA Benefits
麻豆传媒映画 is proud to support students who have served, or are currently serving, in the U.S. Armed Forces. Eligible students may access VA educational benefits, with some programs also available to spouses and dependents of veterans. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process.
1. Determine Your Eligibility
To select the appropriate VA educational benefit, begin by confirming your eligibility on . You can then use the to estimate benefits and compare programs.
Here are some of the main benefit programs available:
- : For veterans with active duty service.
- Formerly called Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment: For veterans with a service-connected disability.
- : For veterans who served after Sept. 10, 2001.
- : For spouses and children of permanently disabled or deceased veterans.
- : For members of the Reserve or National Guard.
2. Apply for VA Educational Benefits
To begin the process, complete your through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Please note that the application process can take time. We strongly recommend applying as early as possible to avoid delays in receiving your benefits.
3. Receive Your Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
Once your application is reviewed and approved, and depending on program eligibility, the VA will mail you a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). You can check the status of your application and find additional resources at .
4. Submit VA Documents to 麻豆传媒映画
Once you have received your COE, please complete the and upload your COE and DD-214 form (if applicable). If your VA-approved program does not provide a COE, you do not have a DD-214, or you have additional questions, please contact registrar@kgi.edu.
After your documents are processed and you enroll in courses, 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 VA Certifying Official will certify your enrollment with the VA to initiate benefit payments.
5. Title 38 U.S.C. 搂 3679(e) Compliance
麻豆传媒映画 complies with Title 38 U.S.C. 搂 3679(e) by permitting eligible Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness and Employment) and Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill) beneficiaries to attend and participate in their approved program of education upon submission of required eligibility documentation, including a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), Statement of Benefits, or other VA-approved documentation.
麻豆传媒映画 will not prevent an eligible student from attending or participating in courses, assess late fees, deny access to classes or institutional facilities, or require the student to secure additional funds due to a delay in the disbursement of VA educational benefits. These protections remain in effect until the earlier of the date 麻豆传媒映画 receives payment from the VA or 90 days after 麻豆传媒映画 certifies the student's tuition and fees to the VA, in accordance with applicable federal requirements.
6. Keep Your Information Updated
Please inform the 麻豆传媒映画 Certifying Official of any changes to your:
- VA benefits
- Course enrollment
- Mailing address
Failure to update this information may result in delayed or discontinued benefit payments.
Yellow Ribbon Program
If you鈥檙e eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill庐 at the 100% benefit level, you may qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
